Therapies

At Happy Brain, we know that one size does not fit all.  We embrace and celebrate our clients differences, dedicate time to getting to know them, to understand what’s important to them, and together create a therapy plan that's just right for them and will help them live the life they want to live.

Your therapy plan may include some of the following:

Gradient

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for a range of difficulties that can be used with children as young as four through to teens, adults and families.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy + Mindfulness

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a flexible client-centered therapy considered a third wave CBT approach. ACT allows clients to work on what matters most to them to ensure they get the best out of treatment. ACT can be used with children, adolescents and adults.

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) was originally developed for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, however many studies have shown that the strategies used in DBT can benefit everyone from young children through to teens and adults.

Play-based Therapy

Play Therapy is "based upon the fact that play is the child's natural medium of self-expression. It is an opportunity which is given to the child to "play out" their feelings and problems just as, in certain types of adult therapy, an individual "talks it out".
